Egbengwu Water Project

Egbengwu Water Project (EWP) is a community-focused project designed to supply clean, potable water to the eleven villages in Egbengwu Nimo. The main goals of the water project are to alleviate sicknesses caused by water-borne diseases, provide drinkable water readily to villagers, and eliminate the burden of searching for water especially during the dry season. Community participation is necessary for the success of the water project. Each village (community) will be required to provide a small site within the community for installation of the water project. Each water project site will have a deep water source well with a submersible pump, a water tank stand with two or more water tanks, a generator, and three or more water dispensers. All equipment will be secured with solid perimeter walls accessible through an entry gate. EWP is financed entirely by Chimnyelugo Charities and Scholarships Foundation (CCSF). CCSF will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of the water project in each community.
